Addition 4/2012: pictures from the 2012 clean-up

This day of cleaning occurred ealy in March, and concentrated on the eastern most section of the Slough Arm, from the marina entrance as far as the M25 bridge.

The British Waterways working boat 'Pride of Uxbrige' accompanied the volunteers performing the heavy lifting, and providing transport to remove the rubbish collected

The annual Spring clean-up was on Saturday 27th March 2010

Prelimiary survey work in the week before noted collections of rubbish concentrate around each of the road bridges, and some of the parties of volunteers were directed to these hotspots first.

 

 

The photo to the left shows the state of the canal by the Wexham Road bridge in the week before the event.
