Old railway hardware discovered

While working on the south bank near the M25 bridge CRT workers have discovered the remains of minor railway installation and tunnel. This is thought to be a local facility concerned with the earlier industrial activity for which the canal was built.

A number of local historians are taking an interest and a site meeting is likely in the coming weeks. I'll put up more information and perhaps some pictures in due course.
