New water point for boaters with CRT key
We have been told in early August that the promised clean water point at Slough Basin is now fully connected and working.
The point is located at the extreme western end of the arm, where the stone pier used to be, on the towpath (southern) side. A key is required to open the housing.

The prospect of a water supply was first raised late in 2015 when the CRT decided to offer winter moorings on the Slough Arm a short distance from Slough Basin. The winter moorings were advertised but, as far as we know, no one stayed there during the winter of 2015-16. Now the clean water supply is in and working. There are however no other facilities such as refuse disposal or pump-out.
